Recognizing Northeastern’s Outstanding Students

The Societies of Distinction — Huntington 100 society and Lux. Veritas. Virtus. society — honor Northeastern’s best and brightest students who embody the mission, ideals, and values of Northeastern.

Huntington 100, established in 2007 as the 100 Most Influential Seniors program, honors outstanding undergraduate students for their achievements. Lux. Veritas. Virtus., established in 2024, honors exceptional graduate students. These societies recognize all students across the Northeastern network.

Members Embody

Society members’ journey at Northeastern reflects a seamless alignment with the university’s mission, ideals, values, and Academic Plan through:

  • Global Engagement: Participation in international co-op, study abroad, or other experiential learning beyond their primary campus.
  • Impact on Campus Community: A tangible influence on the campus community, contributing to its growth and vibrancy.
  • Service Record: A strong commitment to service, whether within the University or other communities.
  • Demonstrated Leadership: Evident leadership qualities that contribute to the development and success of various initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial or Innovative Spirit: A proactive approach, showcasing entrepreneurial or innovative thinking.
  • Academic Excellence: A commendable academic record, reflecting dedication to intellectual pursuits.
  • Commitment to Ideals: Dedication to a high level of ideals and the ability to positively represent the core values of Northeastern University.

 

Eligibility

Huntington 100
Spring 2024 Selection Only
Undergraduates across the network with an expected graduation date between December 2023 and August 2025 are eligible.

Standard Eligibility
Undergraduates across the network in their final year of study. Final year of study is defined as 12 months prior to expected graduation date, or less.

Graduate students in their final year of study.

This new society will broaden the opportunity to recognize graduate students in Boston and throughout the global campus network and is designed to be the graduate student equivalent of the Huntington 100.
